The European Tour travels to Paris for the Alstom Open de France this week.

Gregory Havret will return to home soil, hoping that he can play as well as he did in last month’s US Open, where he lost by just one shot to Graeme McDowell at Pepple Beach.
Spain’s Jose Maria Olazabal will also be playing. It is his first tournament since October last year. He has been off with rheumatic shoulder pain, and admitted that he would probably not play again this summer.
Lee Westwood is still hoping to play after withdrawing from the tournament for a suspected blood clot in his right calf and ankle, but after tests at the local hospital he has been given the all clear. He will make a final decision this morning.
The world number eight golfer, Ian Poulter will also be making a late decision about whether to play in the tournament after reacting badly to an insect bite on his right shin.
Colin Montgamerie, the European Ryder Cup Captain has withdrawn from the French Open, after undergoing treatment in Munich last week for a torn calf muscle and Achilles strain.
Defiantly playing though, are top ten golfers Luke Donald and Rory McLlroy.
