England’s Ross McGowern is the defending champion and faces tough opposition from golfers hoping to impress the Ryder Cup European Captain Colin Montgamary
Sergio Garcia makes a return to the European Tour for the first time since he took part in the Masters. Currently ranked 17th place on both the European and World Ryder Cup points list, he will be hoping to gain some much needed Ryder Cup points to help earn him automatic qualification into the team. He last win came in 2008 in the HSBC Champions. He has slipped to no 32 in the Official World Golf Ranking from a career high of no2.
England’s Luke Donald is another golfer hoping to impress the Ryder Cup captain. He finished runner up in last week’s BMW PGA Championship and is currently ranked seventh on the World Ryder Cup points list.
