Forgan sponsored Ian Woosnam is playing in the Senior Open Championship which starts today in Scotland.
Woosnam is hoping he can continue his impressive record at the Carnousite course, where he claimed the Scottish Open title in 1996 in difficult conditions and the weather forecast for the next few days suggests that he could be battling the elements again.
“It's really nicely set up - the rough's not too penalising. But you've got to play very well, and as in any big championship, it all depends on the weather, doesn't it? And a bit of a luck of the draw, sometimes." Said Woosnam
The former Masters Champion became the first player to win both the Senior Tour and European Tour order of merit in 2008 and believes that one of the Senior Tour players can still win one of the Majors against their younger counterparts, as Tom Watson and Greg Norman so nearly did in the Open Championship in 2008 and 2009.
Playing alongside him will also be Forgan staff player D.J Russell.
D.J, is displaying good form at the moment, having won the PGA Senior Championship last month and coming 12th in this months Van Lanschot Senior Open.
