Ian Woosnam, Forgan sponsored, will be playing in the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic at the end of April. The tournament is set to take place between April 28th- May 2nd at Fallen Oak.

Woosie has recently been playing on the European Senior Tour and Champions Tour since 2009. He has recently won the Irish Seniors Open and last year was the winner of the Senior Order of Merit. He has not been on his best form recently and this top finish was ties 13th place at the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf.

Ian Woosnam is a legend in the golf world and has won a total of 44 wins on the European tour. In 1987 he won the European Tour Player of the year in 1987 and has twice been the Tour’s leading money winner.

“I am playing in my 22nd Masters Tournament in early April and I am keen to play a run of tournaments before heading home,” said Woosnam. “It is an honor to come to Mississippi and play in your event as I always enjoy playing in the stronger field events.”
